COVID-19 Relief Project
On March 13th, the first COVID-19 Coronavirus was reported in Guatemala and many precautions were put into place by the President of Guatemala. All schools were subject to close down for 21 days, which also meant that our weekly ministry projects were put on hold. With new information developing each day in Guatemala, and around the rest of the world, the only hope we have is in Jesus Christ. We ask that you pray for Guatemala as the whole country is on complete shut down. Guatemala has a curfew in place and new precautions are being put into place each day.
As most of the world is shutting down and people are self-distancing themselves, Provee is doing the same. However, we know that many families in our local community are undergoing uncertainty about how they will be able to afford food or provide for their families as work has been put on hold and the Guatemalan Government has not released information about helping the those living in impoverished and remote area's.
We at Provee believe now is the most important time to live out our mission of improving the spiritual and physical lives of the impoverished in Guatemala. As a leadership team, we have developed a list of families that are under going hardship and going without food. We believe God will provide for them, especially through people like you! That's why we have created a new giving page on our website designated to providing relief to those effected by the COVID-19 crisis. With a one-time donation of $30 a family will be able to receive enough food for 2 weeks. As finances and resources are uncertain for a lot of us, we know that now we must come together as the Church more than ever. Our goal is to reach 50 families totaling 250+ people each week receiving food and essentials. We believe that God's provision will come to us so we can extend the blessing out in our community.
(Our Nonprofit has no overhead costs. 100% of your donation goes directly to this project.)
Luke 6:38 says "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
